Construction on Hoover Dam began in 1931 and it created reservoir behind the dam called Lake Mead. The dam was completed in June 1933 and 112 deaths associated with its construction. There are rumors that some of the dams workers bodies are forever trapped inside the dam however as far as I know this isn’t the case because the bodies were all recovered and given proper burials,
The ghosts who haunt the dam are the type I hate to deal with and anybody who is sensitive to paranormal events should avoid the dam. I’ve only been to the Dam twice and I have vowed never to return because it would violate my #1 rule of dealing with ghosts which is never have any contact with ghosts who do not realize they have died
The men who died here must have been financially despite because as far as I can gather a lot of them were afraid of heights yet worked high up on the dam before falling off and dying just so they could attempt to support their families. The most haunted location of the dam is near the canyon wall just across from the escalator for some reason ghosts tend to hang out here tearful blubbering something about a dog and cursing truck drivers this actually freaked me out because it made me wonder if it was possible for a ghost to get sunstroke or if I’m missing something.
While I do find the dam to be a miraculous accomplishment it wasn’t worth the cost of even one of those 112 lives that it took. If you do go to Hoover Dam just be careful and if you are able to communicate with ghosts DO NOT ENGAGE these ones or you more than likely will be sorry you did.
